The world's largest dump

A "link dump" is a crude term in the world o' blogging for a post with nothing more than links to other peoples blogs. It's a common practice and a nice way to show appreciation for the work of others and send some traffic and perhaps new readers to other great websites. It's also, as the guys over at The Fightins like to refer to it, the laziest post in blogging.

This is Illuminati is the only blog where I've never done a link dump. Never occurred to me really. I'll plead stupidity. Doubly odd because I am beyond lazy.

I was going to break my dump cherry (yeah, sounds terrible) then I had a decent idea. What if I attempted a year-end mother link dump to end all link dumps? One big, stinky, heaping pile of awesome work from other websites. Maybe meet some new people, expose readers to some new websites, and just end the year of '08 with a dump.

I can't do this without help so I want to hear from everyone. If you've got a blog, shoot me an email with your best post from this past year. If you are just a fan of blogs, send me a link to someones work you thought was worth mentioning. I'll take them all and put them in the body of this post, adding them as we go. Then I encourage everyone to check out the links, go make comments and find some new blogs to read.

Let's see how big of a dump we can make by January 1st (last potty/poop pun--promise).
